John and Jenny (hosts) at B&B are a so warmhearted and lovely aged couple!
After short teabreak we drove to the caves of Waitomo. After a ride from 35 minutes we arrived for next rafting session starting at 3:00pm.
Out of casual street wear straight into a nepren swim suit with an wonderful blue egghelmet protecting head, we were ready to "takeoff". After a short introduction by two hyped up guides and armed with tubes we entered the caves through a tiny little whole in the middle of nowhere.
It was sooo awesome to ride, jump, climb, swim and drift through the caves with partly lights switched on or off. On the way back to motel, we had a stop for dinner at Huhu. Pushed but tiered and happy we fall soon asleep.
Next stop Wanganui - a long distance to go along Wanganui River Road should be awesome..
SO we´ll give it a try :-)
