white Kiwi, Weta Cave

Weather was pretty bad. Actually it was raining cats and dogs :-( Nevertheless we did not care and actually we did not travel directly to Wellington, but had a detour to see THE WHITE KIWI at Mount Bruce.

Seeing white tiny Kiwi baby getting feeded, we rode over a big mountain pass! Arriving in Wellington we stopped directly at the Weta Cave. This is a museum which a Lord of the rings fanatic has to visit. So Flora was excieted and nervous. This was beside Hobbit Tour her absolut must to visit.

I would say there is a quite alikeness between Gollum and me, isn´t ist?! :-) From Weta Caves we drove Shelly Bay. It's an awesome road, but fucking rainy and windy weather reduced happiness :-/

After quick checkin in Comfort Quality Hotel we drove to supermarket to get all stuff for next days. By the way, this were almost the first time, I saw a few People in a hurry cause of New Years Eve. Back to hotel, after an extensive washing session we prepeared for "silvester". Believe or not, but Newzealander celebrate in a quite a differnent way as European does! It was a pitty that Celebration at the docks were canceled, and the partynight dues till 1:00am. There was no pyrotechnics at all, and those few rockets we saw were launched by tourists :-) Hoping for a slightly better weather for our sightseeing tour next day to come... But first we celebrate NEW YEARS EVE...!!!
